John Slater joined Bison Security Group (BSG) in September 2002. Prior to joining BSG, John's work experiences provided a valuable blend of law enforcement, private enterprise, and corporate and commercial experiences. John's background includes 22 years of law enforcement both with the Calgary Police Service and a Municipal Police Department in the United Kingdom.
Following the unexpected termination of his police career due to an injury John pursued various occupations, enabling him to gain valuable experiences outside of the police service in wholesale and retail operations. He also has a background in quality assurance, which he believes is essential for any business in the service industry.
John gained valuable marketing experience in promoting a new family business venture in the United Kingdom and also when he formed his own successful Private Investigation firm in Calgary prior to joining BSG.
Prior to moving to this position John had been one of BSG's Senior Investigators, handling major criminal investigations, civil litigation files, due diligence investigations and conducting surveillance. John brings to the position of Business Development Manager a unique understanding of the services offered by BSG, the intricacies of investigation and security consultation as well as the knowledge required to incorporate that understanding into the needs of the business community with an emphasis on the demand for value, service and time effective results.
