Technical
Countermeasures Surveys (Debugging)
Bison Security Group conducts technical surveillance countermeasures
surveys utilizing state of the art electronic detection equipment
to detect active and passive electronic transmitters. Our personnel
are factory trained and remain current with the latest trends in
listening devices and detection equipment.
Our
equipment consists of the following:
- The
OSCOR Omni Spectral Correlator that scans for active electronic
listening/video devices transmitting from 10KHz to 21GHz.
- The
ORION non-linear junction evaluator that checks for passive electronic
listening devices.
- In
addition to the above equipment, Bison Security Group also scans
electrical power (AC) outlets and miscellaneous cabling such as
cable and telecommunications lines for electronic listening/video
devices.
Typically
our TSCM surveys consist of the following inspections:
- Radio
frequency analysis for active clandestine transmitters by band
sweeping the radio spectrum, from ten (10) KHz to twenty-one (21)
GHz. This includes an examination of the AC outlets.
-
A check for passive clandestine transmitters using a non-linear
junction evaluator.
-
A physical inspection for inclusive electronic items in designated
offices, cubicle areas, meeting/board rooms, as well as surrounding
open areas, which include the ceilings, light fixtures, coaxial
and telephone cables. All fixtures on the perimeter walls, including
wall coverings, are inspected. An inspection is also conducted
of all air conditioning, heating and cooling vents. A physical
search of all furniture in the offices and rooms is also completed.
All telephone, electrical and cable outlets are discreetly marked,
following the inspection.
-
Telephone instruments and fax machines serving the designated
areas are physically and technically examined for the presence
of eavesdropping devices.
-
The final report would note security concerns and discrepancies,
with recommendations to provide added security to the premises.
