Mrs. BOWEN joined Bison Security Group in 1998 and is responsible for investigations involving Life & Health issues, Contestable Death and other insurance claims. Her experience, network of contacts and extensive knowledge of complex insurance issues allows her to complete investigative tasks quickly and efficiently.

During Mrs. BOWEN’s fifteen year career with the Calgary Police Service, she worked as both a uniform Constable and later as a Supervisory Sergeant. She spent many years as an Investigator within a variety of specialty units, including Sex Crimes, Arson and Criminal Intelligence. She was instrumental in the development of the department’s Crime Prevention program. As a member of Calgary’s Strike Force Unit, Mrs. BOWEN was instructed in advanced surveillance techniques by the Canadian Police College and was one of only two women to complete the Tactical Surveillance Course offered by the FBI. As a result of her expertise, Mrs. BOWEN has subsequently developed and instructed programs detailing surveillance techniques, undercover operations and was used extensively as a Recruit Field Trainer.

For a number of years, Mrs. BOWEN owned and operated a private investigation and consulting firm, which specialized in the successful investigation of occupational health, Worker’s Compensation and various insurance issues. In addition, the company conducted criminal investigations, difficult locates and subrogation. Mrs. BOWEN has maintained a significant profile within the industry by regularly instructing retailers in crime prevention methods as well as internal investigation.

Mrs. BOWEN’s focus with Bison Security Group will be to meet the needs of the life and health industry by providing expertise in field interviews, long term disability fraud and contestable death claims.
