Mr. SAUNDERS retired from the RCMP in 1980 after serving over 20
years and attaining the rank of Sergeant. During his RCMP career
he was posted in many towns and cities in Alberta; including Brooks,
Canmore, Edmonton, Calgary and Lethbridge. His Police service was
varied, including rural and municipal law enforcement, accident
investigation, drug enforcement, criminal intelligence liaison and
serious crimes investigation in homicide, sexual offenses, robbery,
fraud and white collar crime. At the time of his retirement, he
was in charge of the Polygraph (Lie Detection) Units at Calgary
and Edmonton, responsible for polygraph testing in Alberta, the
Yukon and Northwest Territories. He has given Court evidence at
all levels of the Court System in Canada and has given evidence
in the United States. Through formal RCMP training and personal
work experience, he has acquired knowledge in security equipment,
security hardware and communications security. He has lectured extensively
on interviewing techniques, interrogation and polygraph testing
to law enforcement, Insurance Organizations and the legal profession.
Since
leaving the RCMP, Mr. SAUNDERS and his partner developed Bison Security
Group as a specialized investigative and security consulting organization
providing expertise to law firms, Insurance Organizations and corporations
across Canada. He has personally conducted long term, large scale
investigations on internal theft, theft of proprietary information,
secret commissions, conflict of interest, insurance fraud, and homicides.
He has acted in the capacity of a Corporate Security Advisor for
many oil companies, property management and leasing companies, financial
institutions, manufacturers, as well as trucking, warehousing and
food distributors. Bison Security Group has conducted investigations
throughout Canada, the United States, Western Europe and the Orient.
Mr.
SAUNDERS is a Director of BSG Corporation responsible for the majority
of the investigations conducted by Bison Security Group. All of
his staff have been selected because of their previous law enforcement
and business experience and are considered experts in crime scene
analysis, criminal investigations, arson, insurance fraud, interviewing
and interrogation, corporate security and business information intelligence.
Mr. SAUNDERS personally has over forty years of investigative experience.
