After providing 24 + years of dedicated service, Mr. Darryl Stark
retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in January, 2003.
Darryl
brings with him a strong investigation and management background.
While in a General Investigation Section he conducted a variety
of complex major crime investigations including homicides, sexual
offences, major theft operations, employee thefts, frauds and drug
offences. Trained in undercover investigations he has experience
as the project manager, and undercover operative and has conducted
undercover operations in respect to frauds, white collar crimes,
and drug investigations.
The
last ten years of Darryl’s service with the RCMP was with
a Proceeds of Crime Section. There he developed an expertise in
national and international investigations. Recognized by the Alberta
Court of Queen’s Bench as an expert in Money Laundering Techniques
and Possession of Proceeds of Crime, Darryl has reviewed cases and
offered opinion evidence in several court jurisdictions. Responsible
for the seizure of assets in Canada, the United States, Europe,
the Caribbean and South America, Darryl has participated in pre-trial
preparations and trial proceedings on an international scale.
As
well, recognized by other agencies and organizations for his experience,
Darryl remains active as a trainer and lecturer. He has lectured
on RCMP training courses, to Municipal Police Services, and foreign
authorities including: US Customs, and the DEA and continues to
lecture to such groups as accounting firms, investment dealers,
the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and several post secondary
education institutions.
Another
appointment of interest was Darryl’s year-long secondment
to the G8 Summit Planning Group. As the VIP Logistics Coordinator,
Darryl managed a planning group of 15 who put together the security
and motorcade requirements for all visiting dignitaries. During
the G8 Summit, he oversaw the deployment of over 900 bodyguards
and motorcade drivers.
Darryl’s
diverse skills make him a welcome addition to the Bison Team. In
assuming the position of Operations Manager for Bison Security Group,
Darryl will be responsible for assisting in all segments of Bison
Investigations. He will receive and evaluate incoming requests from
clients, assign investigations, monitor file progress and personally
conduct selected investigations. In addition, Darryl will liaise
with clients and prospect for new business.
